Photo is taken in the post-rain overcast lighting condition at around 4 pm in front of my room. Original photo is cropped from all sides in order to eliminate dark brown leaves on ground and other things those distact the attention from the waterdrop present on the grass blade. This photo is taken in Cauvery Hostel Garden of IIT Madras on one fine Sunday morning. Plan was to go around the campus to capture nature with Amol's camera. Atul, along with me, also wanted to try his hands in order to learn a few more things about photography. Ultimately we ended up in spending whole of the morning in the hostel garden itself. It was a quite a revealation that this garden had so much to offer to a nature enthusiast. I will be grateful if anybody tells me name of this plant.

Photograph of the day - Nature series continued

Yesterday I tried to take this snap as a shear effort to catch this bug when walking on Lake View Road. Like many of the previously posted images, this also is taken in macro mode with the same Sony digicam.

Although this photograph is good as far as the positioning of the ant and the texture of the leaf is concerned, the major shortcoming is the out of focus ant. Notice the left portion of the leaf is under focus. The red flowers on right side and the bright leaves in the background are sources of distraction.
