Sketch of a small car
I sketched this car, Tata Indica, on the night of its launch. It must be in 1999 and I was doing my Master's at IIT Bombay. Guys from IDC were first to notice this sketch and they said they liked it. One of them even got the paper scanned and also gave a different colour to the rendering. There was no way in which I could have done that! Although I lost the original subsequently, I could recover this scaled-down image from my home page on rediff which exists even today but I cann't modify it as I have forgotten login and password.

Lovely cuddle
The original image, shown on the left, is cropped from left to remove the red sweater sleeve. The lines are shown to indicate the possibility of application of the rule of 3rd. Thus the image is cropped proportionaltely from other sides. The contrast and brightness is increased to get a better effect. The final image is displayed on the right side.
The more information about the photograph including EXIF data and place where the photo was taken is shown on flickr.com besides the photograph. You need to log-in to flickr.com for the same.

Authorship by Rabindranath Tagore
You say that father writes a lot of books,
but what he writes I don't understand.
He was reading to you all the evening,
but could you really make out what he meant?
What nice stories, mother, you can tell us!
Why can't father write like that, I wonder?
Did he never hear from his own mother
stories of giants and fairies and princesses?
Has he forgotten them all?
Often when he gets late for his bath
you have to go and call him an hundred times.
You wait and keep his dishes warm for him,
but he goes on writing and forgets.
Father always plays at making books.
If I ever go to play in father's room,
you come and call me,"What a naughty child!"
If I make the slightest noise you say,
"Don't you see that father's at his work?"
What is the fun of always writing and writing?
When I take up father's pen or pencil
and write upon his book just as he does, -
a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i, - why do you get cross
with me then, mother?
You never say a word when father writes.
When my father wates heaps and heaps of papers,
mother, you don't seem to mind at all.
But if I take only one sheet to make a boat with,
you say, "Child, how troublesome you are!"
What do you think of father's spoiling sheets and
sheets of paper with black marks all over on both sides?

Chupke chupke raat din
|
Lyrics:

hi~all,
I have a question about changing the Gas_universal_constant. I am just wondering how can i do this??? Can I just wrtie a udf and define Gas_universal_constant a new number?? and what kind of function should i use?? Did anyone know how to write this?? I will really appreciate if anyone can help. thanks.
- M
P answers:
you can not change the gas universal constant, because that way you would be changing the universe and therefore you could destroy it.

Brief halt at Dajipur Bison Sanctuary
This photo is taken at 3.5 km from the main entrance to the sanctuary from Phonda Pass in Sahyadris. It also falls on the border of Kolhapur and Sindhudurg Districts. One can drive almost 19 more kilometers inside the forest. It is not advisable to drive a car to this route. Rugged SUVs are must. As we had idea about this we drove 3.5 km inside and returned.

V-day wishes
here comes the day which is not mine,
as i dont have any valentine.
things happened in the past which are not fine.
rainy days for me even when the sun shine.
no girl to propose,
no aroma of rose,
no chance for my bike to give lift,
no special person to give gift.
no miss is there to miss
no experience of kiss.
no dinner in the moon light.
no chance to have the day bright.
even though i dont fall in love
i will always bow to love.
wishing great time to people who are in love
"wish u a happy valentines day"
Note:
Despite mention of bike and all that stuff, I wish to state that this is not my composition. I have borrowed it from my friend's email. Nevertheless I can forward your sympathy messages to him if you send any. :-)
